Andy Fisher at SIDFest Singapore 2024

As part of the annual SIDFest Symposium organized by the Society of Interior Designers Singapore, the session “Sustaining Success Design Overseas” by Andy Fisher explored the entrepreneurial side of design, essential skills, and strategies. In his talk on October 4, he discussed how success can be sustained with continuous adaptation to the markets in which the firm operates. The session ended with a panel discussion moderated by Ar. Ho Sock Yee and was followed by a closing party reception.

Construction on Sofitel La Corniche to begin in 2025

AFW is pleased to announce the upcoming Sofitel Hotel in Moroni, Comoros, East Africa, a project in partnership with project management firm Ascentis Group. Located on a volcanic outcrop with views of the Mozambique Channel, the 130-key luxury hotel is AFW's first hospitality project in East Africa. Elevated on a substantial retail podium base that extends over the seashore, each hotel block is centered around the concept of courtyards and embraces the local Comoros vernacular, ensuring that all rooms are single-loaded with unobstructed sea views. The project aims to achieve LEED Gold certification, feature an industry-low embodied carbon level, and ensure minimal impact on the local environment. Construction will begin in early 2025 with completion slated for the 2027 Indian Ocean Games.

Renderings of Bagmane Memphis office complex unveiled

Phase 1 of TARC Kailasa launch sold

The first phase of the TARC Kailasa unit launch has sold out! Located in New Delhi, the five-tower, 1,000,000-square-foot development by TARC Group—the “Luxury Project of the Year" at the Golden Brick Awards 2024 in Dubai—redefines opulence with meticulously crafted high-end luxury apartments. All units are strategically positioned to optimize views, avoiding sightlines towards the adjacent MRT line and low neighboring buildings, offering instead vistas facing the adjacent park in the south and, on higher floors, iconic landmarks of the city.

Embassy Zenith nearing completion

The construction of Embassy Zenith is advancing right on schedule. Fronting the Bengaluru Golf Club on a major road linking the Kempegowda International Airport with other parts of the city, the 13-storey tower introduces 400,092 square feet of leasable Grade A office space. The rotating and twisting of the upper-half portion of its massing breaks monotony, and its sharp-edged form is softened by a controlled radius on four corners.
