Hamish Winstanley
Director
Hamish Winstanley joined AFW in 2017, bringing over 15 years of experience across the ASEAN region. As Director, he leads the studio’s design efforts while also overseeing business development and operations. His role spans the full lifecycle of projects, guiding teams and clients from initial concept through to completion across a range of regional contexts.
With a background in residential, commercial, hospitality, and institutional work, Hamish has developed particular expertise in complex, mixed-use developments. His ability to manage multifaceted programs and navigate diverse regulatory and cultural environments has made him a key contributor to the firm’s growth.
Beyond practice, Hamish is committed to mentorship and the development of emerging talent. He actively supports younger designers within the studio and the broader design community, fostering a culture of collaboration and ongoing learning.
